Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires

Arrive in Buenos Aires and meet your private transfer from the international airport to the hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Half Day City Tour

Buenos Aires is undoubtedly the Latin American city that best resembles the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the big European capitals. Beyond this Buenos Aires there is another, featuring the coloured houses of La Boca and the popular Tango of San Telmo. The combination makes Buenos Aires a unique, irresistible metropolis. This tour showcases the capital’s highlights: historical development, multicultural society, football, tango, architectural heritage and the Peron era. The tour visits San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo stopping in Plaza de Mayo, El Caminito and La Recoleta. Overnight in Buenos Aires. (B)

Day 3: Fly to El Calafate. Free Afternoon

Day 4: Full Day Excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier

This morning transfer to Lake Argento and board a sightseeing vessel from where you will have the best views of the Perito Moreno National Park. The glaciers here are famous for their immense ice cliffs, spectacular shapes and luminescent blue colour. Along the way you will learn about the flora, fauna and geology of the park as well as conservation initiatives of these fragile areas. Overnight in El Calafate. (B)

Day 5: Full Day Excursion to Estancia Cristina & Upsala Glacier

After breakfast, transfer to the port to commence a cruise among the icebergs along the western edge of magnificent Upsala Glacier. Pass through Cristina Canal, disembark for the road journey to arrive at Estancia Cristina by mid-morning.

Here you will visit Costumbrista Museum, which highlights the history of the early settlers in the region. Later, you’ll enjoy a 4×4 expedition through jaw-dropping mountain scenery to the continental ice shelter. Here you’ll have a guided walk before heading to the eastern façade of Upsala Glacier. Returning to the estancia, you will be ready for some traditional Argentine hospitality and a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, continue sightseeing to Lake Guillermo and the southern Patagonian Andes. Journey back to El Calafate via the lake for an evening arrival to your hotel. Overnight in El Calafate. (B, L)

Day 6: Fly to Buenos Aires. Tango Dinner Show

Today you fly back to Buenos Aires where you have the afternoon at your leisure.

What better way to finish your programme than with a Tango Dinner Show. Held in a romantic and intimate atmosphere, you will experience the sensual dance of Tango which reveals the spirit of Buenos Aires’ beginnings. The spectacle is accompanied by international cuisine, regional dishes, desserts and a wide selection of Argentine wines. Overnight in Buenos Aires. (B, D)

Day 7: Fly to Puerto Iguazu

Morning private transfer from the hotel to the airport. Today you will fly from Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu. Overnight in Foz do Iguassu. (B)

Day 8: Half Day Excursion Iguazu Falls (Argentina)

A full day excursion to the Argentine side of the falls. We will visit the three main paths: the upper and lower paths as well as the Devil’s Throat. It will be possible to enjoy impressive views of the falls from different perspectives. Upper Path: A 45min walk during which we see the Two Sisters, Bosseti, Adam and Eve, Bernabe Mendez, Mbigua and San Martin falls from the upper part. Lower Path: A 1.5hr walk during which we have a view of the falls from right in the centre of the action where you’ll likely get a bit wet! Devil’s Throat: A small train will take us along the upper part of the Iguazu River where we find the balcony facing the most spectacular view of the Devil’s Throat. Overnight in Foz do Iguassu. (B)

Day 9: Half Day Excursion Iguazu Falls (Brazil)

Today you will visit the Brazilian side of spectacular Iguazu Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. This is where the almost 3km wide Iguazu River drops over the edge of 80m high basalt cliffs. You will gaze down on this stunning natural spectacle from the viewing platforms connected by glass-sided elevator. Overnight in Foz do Iguassu. (B)

Day 10: Fly to Rio de Janeiro.

Transfer to the airport. Fly to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro. (B)

Day 11: Full Day Excursion of Rio de Janeiro

Today you will be taken on an unforgettable tour of the “Marvellous City” which includes the most iconic symbols of the city: the statue of “Christ the Redeemer” and the Sugarloaf Mountain.

Take a scenic route along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon on the way to Corcovado hill. A train will take you up the mountain from the top of which stares Christ the Redeemer, chosen as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The tour continues along Rio’s famous beaches on the way to the peninsula at the entrance to Guanabara Bay. A two-stage cable car will take you up Urca Hill and the Sugarloaf Mountain (365m) from where you’ll have uninterrupted, spectacular views of downtown Rio, Corcovado and Copacabana Beach. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro. (B, L)

Day 12: Free Day in Rio de Janeiro

A day at your leisure to enjoy the beaches of this idyllic city. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro. (B)

Day 13: Airport Transfer

Today you will be transferred to the airport to meet your international flight. (B)
