SAN IGNACIO – PLACENCIA – CAYE CAULKER
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Belize airport and transfer to San Ignacio.
Today you will be met at Belize International Airport and transferred to San Ignacio. Overnight in San Ignacio.
Day 2: Free day in San Ignacio.
Together with neighbouring Santa Elena, on the east bank of the river, San Ignacio forms the chief population centre of Cayo District. San Ignacio has a very positive local vibe, with a bustling market and a steady influx of immigrants.
Day trips are available to areas such as the Mountain Pine Ridge and its waterfalls, rapids and caves, as well as the spectacular Mayan ruins of Xunantunich. Jungle camping trips, canoeing, birding, nature and horseback tours are only a few of the activities available. Overnight in San Ignacio. (B)
Day 3: Drive to Placencia.
Today you will be transferred to the sixteen mile long Placencia Peninsula which is home to three communities: Maya Beach, Seine Bight, and at the southern tip, Placencia Village with a claim to the best beaches on the mainland. Overnight in Placencia. (B)
Day 4: Free day in Placencia.
There are a number of Nature Attractions, including exploring the Monkey River, travelling inland to the Cockscomb Basin, or visiting May Ruins. You can Kayak nearby Mangroves or paddle out to one of the many nearby Cayes. Overnight in Placencia. (B)
Day 5: Fly to Belize City. Transfer to Caye Caulker.
Today you will fly from Placencia to Belize City from where you will take a water taxi to Caye Caulker. Caye Caulker, located a few miles south of Ambergris Caye, is a traveler’s paradise known for its unspoiled atmosphere, relaxed pace and lush, tropical vegetation. Activities include diving, fishing, snorkelling and day sailing. Overnight on Caye Caulker. (B)
Day 6: Free day in Caye Caulker.
Located one mile west of Belize Barrier Reef, Caye Caulker is a four mile long island, part of a chain of islands forming the Belize Barrier Reef. Optional activities: diving the Blue Hole, manatee tour, snorkelling tour, kayaking around the island or just relaxing on the beach. Overnight on Caye Caulker. (B)
Day 7: Free day in Caye Caulker.

Day 8: Transfer to Airport.
Fly from Caye Caulker to Belize International Airport to connect with your international flights. (B)
