Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bogota.
Welcome to Colombia! Arrive at El Dorado International Airport. You will be met by one of our representatives who will transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Bogota City Tour Today
a tour of the Colombian capital including the Plaza de Bolívar (the city’s main square) and government buildings situated around it, La Candelaria (the old colonial part of town), the Church of San Francisco and the Gold Museum (closed on Mondays). The tour finishes with a trip in funicular railway to the top of Monserrate, the best-known of the mountains that form the eastern boundary of this city. B
Day 3: Fly to Armenia Pick up from your hotel in Bogota and transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Armenia.
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by your local guide and transferred to a coffee farm. In the afternoon you will take a tour of the special coffee growing farm which includes a technical and practical introduction about the whole coffee cultivation and production process. Later you will visit the botanical garden with its impressive butterfly enclosure. B
Day 4: Armenia After breakfast you will embark on a trip to the Cocora Valley. With breathtaking landscapes
which will be explored by a horse riding or walking trip, this is one of the most beautiful places in Colombia. Here we will find the impressive “Palma de Cera”, the Colombian national tree and one of the tallest varieties of palm in the world. On the way back to Armenia you will visit Salento, a picturesque village with extensive coffee plantations. B
Day 5: Armenia
Today you can choose two activities from this selection of adventure and sport activities: Zip-Lining, Canopy Walking, White-water Rafting, River Drifting and horse riding. B
Day 6: Fly to Cartagena Transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Cartagena.
Upon arrival at Cartagena Airport, you will be met by one of our representatives who will transfer you to your hotel. B
Day 7: Cartagena City tour.
Today you will visit the most representative monuments of the city: the Convent of La Popa (highest point in the city), Castillo de San Felipe, an immense fort filled with history and mysteries hidden in its stone-walled tunnels; the monument to Zapatos Viejos. A defensive wall surrounds the old city, which overlooks the sea and its well-preserved colonial architecture makes Cartagena deserving of the title UNESCO World Heritage Site, here you will find churches, museums, plazas, restaurants, shops and jewelry stores. B
Day 8: Free day in Cartagena. B
Day 9: Transfer to fishing village of Taganga.
Transfer to the delightful fishing village of Taganga, located 4hrs from Cartagena and 15min from Santa Marta. Taganga is a great place to relax this afternoon. B
Day 10: Tayrona Park Reef tour.
We leave in the morning, going east along the Caribbean coast until El Zaino, the main entrance to Tayrona Park. Arrive at Cañaveral beach, one of the wildest and yet most beautiful spots in Tayrona Park. From the top of a lookout we will be able to see the spectacular view along the Atlantic Coast. The tour continues with a 1hr hike through tropical forest to Arrecife, another of Tayrona Park’s marvelous beaches. B
Day 11: Free day to relax on the Beach. B
Day 12: Santa Marta City tour.
Today you will visit Santa Marta. Capital of the Magdalena department, santa Marta is located at foot of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the highest coastal mountain range in the world. There will be a trip to “San Pedro Alejandrino” – the house where famed liberator, Simón Bolívar, spent his final days. Continue to the archaeological museum and Santa Marta Cathedral – the oldest cathedral in Colombia. B
Day 13: Transfer to Cartagena.
Free afternoon to enjoy Cartagena de Indias. B
Day 14: Transfer to Airport.
Transfer to the Airport for your flight to Bogota. B
