Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Upon arrival in Lima you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.
Day 2: Free Day in Lima
Lima is the Peruvian capital and largest city. It is located in the valleys of the Chillon, Rimac and Lurin rivers, on a desert coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Historical Centre of Lima was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 because of the large number of historical buildings dating back to the Spanish colonial era. You have the day at your leisure to explore this fascinating city. Overnight in Lima (B)
Day 3: Fly to Arequipa. Free Afternoon
Fly to Arequipa. Peru’s second biggest city is known as “The White City” because of its many colonial buildings built of white volcanic stone. The downtown area features a picturesque combination of baroque architecture, cobbled streets and green plazas. You have the afternoon to begin exploring this wonderful city. Overnight in Arequipa. Day 4: Transfer to Chivay. Colca Canyon Programme
Early morning departure for Colca. Along the way you will travel through spectacular mountain scenery featuring wild vicuñas (similar to llamas) and massive volcanoes. Upon arrival in the quaint village of Chivay, check-in to your accommodations. Finish the day with an afternoon visit to La Calera hot springs. Overnight near Chivay. (B)
Day 5: Colca Canyon Programme
Early morning departure to visit the “Cruz del Condor” where you have the opportunity to see Andean Condors – huge birds which have a wingspan of up to 5m.
Later, enjoy a short, scenic hike along the famed Colca Canyon – described as the deepest in the world. Other highlights of the excursion include Inka agricultural terracing, hanging tombs and traditional villages. Overnight near Chivay. (B)
Day 6: Transfer to Puno
Today you will drive across the high plains to the southern city of Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Overnight in Puno. (B)
Day 7: Full Day Lake Titicaca Excursion
Today you have a guided tour to visit the floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca. Uros islands are made of dried totora reeds which provide home, sustenance and transportation for their residents. These floating islands are the home of the Uros tribe, one which pre-dates the Inka civilization. In the afternoon you will have a buffet lunch on Taquile Island and later explore some of the Inka ruins there. Overnight in Puno. (B, L)
Day 8: Sightseeing Coach Excursion from Puno to Cusco
Today you will take a First Class coach to Cusco. Along the way an English-speaking guide will lead tours to the Inka ruins at Pukara Museum, the spectacular lookout at Raqchi and decorated chapel of Andahuaylillas. Enroute you will stop for a Buffet Lunch in Sicuani village. Upon arrival in Cusco you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco. (B, L)
Day 9: Free Day in Cusco
The city of Cusco, the old capital of the Inka Empire is one of the most enchanting destinations in Peru. Situated in the Peruvian Andes, Cusco is surrounded by awesome mountains which perfectly compliment the blue sky and white clouds. As you explore the captivating colonial centre, marvel at Cusco’s art and architecture which offer a glimpse into her fascinating past. Overnight in Cusco. (B)
Day 10: Full Day Sacred Valley Excursion
Today you will enjoy a full day tour of the Urubamba or Sacred Valley, so named due to the number of sacred sites established by the Inka civilization. First stop will be the colourful, bustling Indigenous Market at Pisac where locals congregate to buy and sell during the main market days on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. In Ollantaytambo you will be taken on a walking excursion of the stunning Inka ruins which overlook the town below. Overnight in Ollantaytambo. (B, L)
Day 11: Train to Aguas Calientes. Machu Picchu Private Excursion
Today you will take a train to Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu town, and the closest access point to the sacred Inka city. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes you will be transferred by bus to Machu Picchu for your guided tour of the site. The enigmatic complex of Machu Picchu, the most important and beautiful legacy of the Inka, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983, now included among the new Seven Wonders of the World. “The Lost City” of the Inka can be reached by hikers along the famous Inka Trail or via railway journey from Cusco. Return to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco. (B)

Day 12: Free Day in Cusco
Today can be spent exploring the cobbled stone streets of this esteemed imperial city. Take time to enjoy the colourful markets and stunning colonial centre. Overnight in Cusco. (B)
Day 13: Fly to Lima
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima to meet your international connection. Tour ends upon arrival in Lima. (B)
